Pottery Learning Opportunites

Paul and Tricia offer variety of experiences for someone interested in learning some new skills with clay and woodturning.

So many people would like to try the potters wheel just to see what it is like. Tricia offers a one time experience for those folks. She demonstrates how to do it and then coaches them thru the process for a $20 fee. If you would like to keep your finished piece, Tricia will glaze it in your chosen colors and you can pick it up in the future. She also offers private lessons @ $25.00/hour.

Pottery class is on Monday or Wednesday nights from 6:30 – 8:30 PM. There will be 4 sessions of 8 week duration. The cost is $120 ( $15 per class) plus a $25 deposit for new students. There is an additional materials and firing expense of 5 cents per cubic inch for your finished work which is to be paid when you take it home. We have 3 pottery wheels, a slab roller, and an extruder so there is a variety of ways to work with the clay. We use high fire stoneware clay. After an initial training period for new students you will be allowed to make whatever you want. Paul and Tricia will be there to help you design and make your projects. If you miss a class you can make it up by going to class on the other night. We have added an extra class for the summer sessions to allow for people going on vacations. Pottery classes for 2016 are full but you can be put on the waiting list when an opening becomes available.
